Antonio is a councillor and former cabinet member for the Labour Party

Antonio was born and raised in Bradford, West Yorkshire to first and second generation immigrants of Mexican, Irish, Guatemalan and American descent. Passionate about making a positive difference to local communities, Antonio is an active campaigner and dedicated Councillor in Harrow, north-west London, since 2014, now serving his third term as a councillor. He is currently Chair of the Labour Group.

Antonio wrote the borough's 2018 manifesto, contributing to the largest ever Labour victory in the borough. He was subsequently Cabinet Member responsible for overseeing manifesto implementation which included: a £600m+ pound regeneration of Harrow; the first council homes built for over 30 years; and the delivery of the council's net zero commitments. Antonio has also been Chair of the Governance, Audit, Risk Management & Standards Committee at the Council. Antonio is an alumnus of the 2022 Labour Future Candidates Programme.

He has successfully campaigned for:
  • £7.5m investment into Wealdstone high street
  • New community artwork and murals
  • Reduced crime and antisocial behaviour, through improved community working
  • Improvements to public transport access
  • Improved use of data to support high streets, residents and local businesses

Antonio is a proud GMB and Community trade unionist and member of the Co-operative Party.
